Thanks for the advise. ps4 controller works if its on steam. if you don't have the steam version, you can add the game to steam as a non steam game and the controller will work if you launch the game through steam. First and foremost excellent write up. I've neglected my steam controller since day for a lot the reasons you've mentioned in your post. I've pretty much set everything up however BDO doesn't recognize my steam controller as a gamepad so I'm unable to map gamepad input settings or use the left stick as a joystick.

Really, I played BDO on my Xbone before eventually switching to PC, and think the Xbox version of the Controller Config and UI would be a simple (yet efficient) way to fix a ton of issues, at least for heathens like me that use a gamepad/controller.
